The NSPI is a group of teachers who share a vision of professional responsibility and expertise, who working collaboratively, provide a platform for peer and professional support as part of School Improvement Planning.
The creation of a Teacher Professional Network (T.P.N.) in the area of school planning is a new initiative from the Teacher Education Section of the Department of Education & Skills.
Following a meeting attended by stakeholders in the teaching profession from across the country in the Gresham Hotel, Dublin, in 2005, an interim Executive was established.
